Friends and Family,

On July 19th, 2022, our mom, Katharine Spann (AKA Kit Kat), was diagnosed with stage 2, triple-negative breast cancer. While we are grateful that she had the foresight to seek medical help before it was too late, this rapidly spreading cancer means immediate chemotherapy and surgery.

Through many answered prayers, a treatment plan has been set in place including chemotherapy, MRIs, and surgery, and mom is handling the road ahead like the superhero that she is.

We have set up this fundraising effort to offset the costs associated with her treatment. Not only will the funds raised go toward steep medical bills, but also toward groceries and other necessities since dad will be taking off work to care for mom and accompany her to the many appointments and procedures.

Mom is a fighter. Over her lifetime, she has endured many medical hardships, including spine surgery and the exhausting effects of ME (Myalgic encephalomyelitis.) While this breast cancer diagnosis was unexpected and scary, we know how strong she is and that she will overcome this obstacle. More importantly, we know this is the Lord's plan and that He is all-powerful, all-knowing, loving, and walking with her.

We would deeply appreciate anything you can give toward mom's fight with breast cancer. We would also covet your prayers as she embarks on this journey of healing.
