Remembering Jamie
Some of you may know I am cycling from Land’s End to John o’Groats at the end of the month. I had intended to raise funds for this year’s company charity (NDCS), but the tragic events that Alex Scott and his family have faced this year led me to change my mind.
Instead, I’m looking to raise money for three organisations: Seesaw, a child bereavement charity; Park Run; and Cherwell School. These last two were part of Alex’s son life before it was cut short. Jamie was just 14.
I don’t think many of us can even begin to imagine what Alex and his family are going through. No parent should have to bury a child and getting through most days must require a massive effort. Alex has also requested that we don’t send on any details of this appeal to anyone outside of the company to give him and his family the privacy they need to be able to grieve.
