On February 8, 2015, my daughter, Maylene Rosario had an asthma attack that led to her going into cardiac arrest. She lacked oxygen for almost 15 minutes. Maylene has been in a coma ever since. Doctors told us that she was brain dead but on February 25, 2015, Maylene started to breathe on her own.
Maylene is a loving, caring, gifted, talented and energetic 11 year old who is loved by many. Her classmates at Mark Twain Intermediate School for the Gifted & Talented started an instagram page/hashtag-
#prayformaymay. It has over 1000 followers and over 1400 posts. Many are also people that don't know Maylene. Her classmates have also been wearing
purple(Maylene's favorite color) to school and writing #prayformaymay on their wrists.
We know we have a long road ahead of us and insurance doesn't cover all our medical expenses. We are asking for your help in this time of need. Thank you and God bless.
