If you had to imagine a trip to the emergency room would cause you to still be present in that hospital 59 days later....do you think you would be defeated or fighting back harder than ever? The Russell family is unlike any family most people have ever met and this is exactly how their story has gone. 59 days ago (and counting) their youngest son Cole was admitted to the PICU for complications related to a condition called gastroschisis. This day led to an emergency surgery, and another, and another. In these 59 days, Cole and his family have gone through 10 surgeries, countless procedures, dressing changes and many complications. Each day has been tough, and each time this family has been tougher. They have done it with a smile on their faces, faith, and strength like no other. Each day and every night his family has been at his bedside. The devotion to Cole’s recovery has lead to missed days at work and missed days together. This go fund me has been started to support this family to be with this amazing kid as he heads to peds rehab shortly. It’s to help relieve the stress of the medical bills that have come, and those to come in the future. It’s to be sure he always has a parent who isn’t worried about needing to miss work. It’s for everyone to help support in the fight with them.....because nobody is stronger than #COLESTRONG. (Or Russell strong, bc this family is full of the strongest)
