A Car for the Vega Family
Donation protected

Hi, for those of you that don't know me, my name is Adrianna. I am a single mom with a new baby born July 14th, 10 weeks premature, and a 7 & 8 year old. When I found out I was pregnant, I knew that I would need a reliable car that could fit 3 car seats, so after lots of searching for the right price and saving my pennies, I bought this '05 Dodge Caravan. It was really the perfect car for my family of 4. And we rely on it extensively. I live in Sudden Valley, WA, just outside of Bellingham, so it is at least a 15-20 minute drive just to get to the grocery store and 30 minutes from a hospital.
My last pregnancy did not go as planned, I was on bedrest for 4 1/2 weeks before I had an emergency c section which required a blood transfusion and extra recovery time. My son was in the NICU for 9 weeks to follow. Long story short, I could not drive my car for months and unfortunately let my insurance run out in the meantime.
Last night we had a terrible wind storm. It was terrifying for my family and two large trees landed on my car and crushed it completely. Gratefully they missed the house and all of us are unharmed. However, I rely heavily on a vehicle to transport my kids to wherever they or I need to be. My infant was premature so even walking a half mile in the cold to pick up my kids from the bus stop could be detrimental to his health in extreme weather.
I don't typically reach out for help, however I need help. I spent all the money I had to purchase this car and now, having just come out of the hospital & not being able to work for some time, has put me in a very diffult place. I appreciate any help you can offer. It will go towards another reliable vehicle for me and my three kids. There is nothing in walking distance from my house and winter is fast approaching!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. We are forever grateful. So much Love.
