Dear family and friends, it is with deep sadness that I inform you that my dad passed away this morning. My dad had been suffering for three months before passing away today. Unfortunately, he caught covid a few months back, and while it took him a while to get better, his health never went to its original state. After covid, he started many other health issues, including myasthenia gravies. For those who don't know what Myasthenia gravis is, it is a rare chronic autoimmune disease marked by muscular weakness. It occurs when regular communication between the nerve and muscle is interrupted at the neuromuscular junction, where nerve cells connect with the muscles they control. He was kept alive with the help of a respiratory ventilator; unfortunately, he was also going through a multi-organ failure. He could no longer breathe on his own or move, not even a hand. All he could do was open his eyes.

I, his daughter, Marifer Bejar, opened a go fund me page to see if I could raise money to pay for my dad's funeral services. My dad has done whatever he could to get us through. He was the best dad one could have. Many people knew him because he'd usually worked extra side jobs during the weekend as a photographer and street vendor. I have always been by his side, and he has always been next to mine. I have been trying to do everything I can, but unfortunately, I do not have the funds to pay off his funeral services.
