Hi my name is Emma and I am raising funds for NGAS National Grief Advice Service. After losing my amazing Mum earlier this year to cancer I have personally really struggled with grief and the loss of her, whilst finding it challenging to continue to work as a nurse in palliative care something I know my mum was always proud of me for. I became aware of the lack of bereavement support available locally early on and then stumbled across this amazing charity, of which the support I have received has been amazing and I can’t thank them enough for supporting me on this tough journey, I wouldn’t be where I am today without them. From the one to one sessions, emails, calls and group sessions and events they provide support for all. I have set myself a challenge to walk 100 miles or more in 30 days starting on the 16th October my Mums birthday. The funds raised will go towards NGAS providing support to people like me following bereavement.
