Imagine waking up in the middle of the night during a pandemic, surrounded by smoke, to discover your house is on fire, with your small child and family inside. This was the reality of a Trinity Christian College student who recently moved back to Chicago amid the COVID-19 pandemic.


This family lost all of their belongings in the fire, as you can see in the videos linked below. They are currently staying with a family member, but will soon need more permanent housing. Having lost everything in the fire, they will need to start completely over—buying new clothes, a new laptop so that this semester of courses can be completed, and other household items that were lost.
