Please help me find a new place to live!

Greetings everyone,

I hope this note finds you and yours doing well starting this new year.

I am humbly writing to ask for your generous support as I struggle with an urgent housing situation.

I now live in a house in West Philadelphia and unfortunately, due to hardships posed by the current COVID 19 pandemic, the owner/landlord is now selling the house and I must move once it is sold, within the next one to two months if not sooner.

Thus, I am writing to ask for your generous support as I seek to raise the money necessary to be able to move. I need to immediately raise approximately $3,000 to be able to pay first month’s rent, last month’s rent and deposit on a new place, plus application fees, the cost to rent a U-Haul truck and to be able to pay two people to help me move, deposits on utilities at a new place, etc. I am humbly asking 300 people to please donate a minimum $10 per person ASAP to help me meet my goal.

This is a very stressful, expensive undertaking and it is becoming more common here in this city; news reports have stated more and more property owners are deciding to sell their long-time property due to the uncertainties of the pandemic. Many people have lost their jobs or have had their work hours cut and thus, are having difficulties paying their rent and other bills. Property owners are also concerned about their own jobs and/or whether or not they can find new tenants that have the financial means to pay rent, utilities, etc.

I realize many of us are also facing difficulties, so whatever you can donate is greatly appreciated. Please feel free to reach out to me if you would like to discuss this further and please keep me in mind if you hear about any houses with rooms to rent in West Philadelphia.
