It is with sadness that I'm announcing the passing of Rodney Bonachita. He passed at Kaiser Hospital in South San Francisco on February 2nd, 2016 due to sudden complications during a surgical procedure. Rod grew up in the Sunset in San Francisco, then moved to Daly City and attended Serramonte HS. He made a multitude of friends through his jobs he worked, ending up at the San Francisco Fire Credit Union. Rod was well traveled, and his journeys took him throughout Europe, and also several major cities within the US. He loved to travel and explore various places, people, and locations, and his adventures gave him a sense of gratitude and appreciation about the world we live in . He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus where he made even more friends, ones he regarded highly and with immense respect. After his parents passed, Rod became the "rock" of the Bonachita family. According to his brothers, he kept them in check (in a good way!). Because of his sudden death, a significant financial burden was placed on his family. It is my hope that the success of this fund finds its way to the family so that it may help them through this difficult time.
