Returning to Africa
Donation protected
Hi everyone!
As many of you know, I was given an amazing opportunity to travel to Zambia last year as a member of Nurses for Africa. Through many generous donations from friends, family, and the Danville Rotary Club, I was able to fulfill my dream.
All of you made that trip possible.
Myself and ten other amazing nurses visited two bush villages in Kabwe - Malikota and Susu. During our time, we were able to provide health care to those whom otherwise would not have access to care. During our week in the villages, we set up makeshift clinics for people to be assessed and treated for various illnesses, like Malaria. We also made homevisits with local careworkers to the families unable to come to the clinics and hosted a "Kids Day" for the Malikota children to play in a local Kabwe park for the day. At the end of the week, we showed our appreciation for the careworkers who volunteer their time every day to care for their communities.
I could talk forever about all of the memories from that trip and the wonderful friendships the team formed with each other and many Zambians, but I'd love if you'd watch the video below on YouTube I created with photos if you haven't already seen it.
I can't even tell you how excited I am to say I have been given another opportunity to return to Zambia with Nurses for Africa as part of the 2015 teams. I've got Zambia in my heart, and it is truly a gift to be able to go back. I will be traveling July 22 - August 3, 2015 to Maranatha. This village is located about an hour away from Luanshya, Zambia.
In order to return to Zambia, I need your help! If you are able to make a contribution towards the cost of my trip, I would be forever grateful for your generosity. Every donation helps, and gets me one step closer to achieving my goals. You can either make a donation via this GoFundMe page, or contact me for how to make a donation offline. If you're unable to make a donation at this time, that's okay too - please keep our team and the people of Zambia in your thoughts and prayers. :)
Love,
♡ Meagan
