Help us, help a family in need

Recently our team at Tippett's Cafe and It's like Deja Brew have had the privilege of having Hayley working as part of our crew. Although only for a short time, her family is our family.

Recently, Hayley's mum Lisa, received bad news that her cancer has returned. This is the 3rd time she has had to fight this disease but this time it has come back aggressively. First diagnosis was 2018, then 2021 and now again.

For the last 10 months they have been forced to live in a caravan park as they were unable to rent a home due to the shortage of accommodation in Kalgoorlie. This weekend they are relocating to Perth to recommence treatment, but her treatment options this time are very limited. Lisa has been told she is now classified as a palliative patient.

Lisa had to quit her job recently to relocate and her partner Nathan has no leave left from his current employer and can’t currently transfer yet due to no vacancies in Perth at present. So, they are under financial pressure particularly over the next 6 weeks while they wait for sickness benefits from Centrelink to kick in.

Lisa is scheduled to have exploratory surgery on the 6th February so they can have a better look however they are reluctant to put her thru another major op due to the potential that she may not make it thru the surgery.

We want to run this GoFundMe (Which has Lisa’s awareness and blessing) so we can help redirect funds to the family including their 2 children, Hayley and Deekan, to assist them in not stressing financially while they concentrate on fighting this disease. Our goal is to raise enough to make them comfortable, and give them the option of overing some costs to take the kids to also do some fun activities to help take their mind of things and to enjoy their time together.
