Hi my name is Lucy and I moved to Puerto Rico 8 months ago. I am an animal lover and thought that the horses here were great until they started dropping them off in the street in front of my house.  Sick and Abused and Starving. I started to investigate and found that this is a common practice for the owners who cannot feed and house their horses. The city I live in has such a horse problem that I want to turn this into a long term goal and build a rescue. 
For now I feed and water and medicate and bandage them as they come and go from my neighborhood. 
I am unable to continue with my own money since I still have not found a job here.
For $10.00 I can buy a 50 pound bag of food and that will feed one horse that weighs 700 lbs for about 7 days.
The medicines for infections parasites and skin rot are very inexpensive. It makes it truly possible to help them get healthy.
Right now I have a mother and her 2 week old baby in the street. 
Any help you can give would be so greatly appreciated !
