Next Stop: Hong Kong

Hi everyone! My name is Kayla Crockett and I am a senior at Georgia State University (cue fireworks!!!). One of the things I love most about GSU is the diversity. From a young age, I have had an interest in exploring other cultures and attending State has allowed me to meet, build relationships, and work with people from varying walks of life. My desire and ability to develop cultural knowledge will impact my future as a leader, business owner, and philanthropist. I was recently chosen to study abroad at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. This is such a cool opportunity because I will be able to explore China first hand! It is the chance of a lifetime and I need your help to get there! I am blessed to say that academic scholarships will cover the cost of tuition; however,  there are extra costs that would be difficult for any 1 person to handle on such short notice. I am hopeful that as a collective, we can reach the goal of $7000! The most urgent expense is flight cost for the trip to Hong Kong. Incoming student orientation is August 28th and it is mandatory. I would like to use funds from this page to book the flight no later than June 28th. In addition, I am raising money to cover the cost of housing, international insurance, the visa application, meals, transportation, course materials, and incidentals.  While the goal is high,  I know it is achievable. Every  single dollar matters and contributes to an experience less than 2% of college students have. If you are unable to give, feel free to leave a comment.
