NEXT 24 hrs decides if Ren lives or dies

We adopted our beautiful staffie Ren from the Connemara Dog Rescue Madra around 8 years ago. Since then she has been happily living with us.

Unfortunately last night Ren out of nowhere started to have very violent seizures. We rang the out of hours vet and made the first appointment for this morning. On arrival Ren was still seizing as she had been been for 9 hours.

She was given treatment for the seizures to stop them, but unfortunately it wasn't effective. She is currently under heavy sedation being held overnight.

We need funds within the next 24 hrs to get Ren the medicine she needs to live. If we do not get donations she will have to be euthanised. We are facing a difficult choice in whether to go forward with treatment for Ren or consider euthenasia.

We need 2500€ to cover vet costs from today.

We are not in a financially stable position at the moment.

I, Simon have been out of work since last May as I had a near fatal incident which required ICU admission for a number of days and I am still in ongoing treatment preventing me from working. My partner, Megan is on disability due to long term illness.

We love Ren very much, she has been snuggled and loved for years. The idea of losing her because of financial constraints due to our own illnesses is too hard to bear.

Time is limited for how long we have to make irreversible decisions.
