My name is Rianna, I'm Jamaican born but live in the UK. Last week Monday and Tuesday Hurricane Melissa did an insane amount of damage across the island.

I was finally able to get in touch with my grandma and my friend who live in one of the worst hit parishes (St Elizabeth). And they requested that I set up a gofundme because the place is unrecognizable.

My family and friends and the community of Newton (St Elizabeth, Jamaica) are in need of help.

Carpenters/workers to replace the zinc on the roof
