Newt (The Dude) Medical Emergency

Dear Newt (The Dude) family, friends and fans,
Newt was admitted into North Carolina State University ER department this morning, unable to control his limbs and decreased response times.
The vet has potentially diagnosed Newt with Meningitis or an Auto-Immune Disorder. The cost of the diagnostics to determine treatment of care is $5000. I inquired about Newt being able to be treated for short-term pain in order to come up with the money, but they informed me that Newt would not return do being even the normal couch potato dog.
I hate to ask people for money in general, especially at a time like this. Your support would be greatly appreciated. We just purchased a home that was specifically selected for the well-being of our dogs, so savings has been slowly making growth. We need to come up with as much money as possible in the next couple hours, this is urgent!
Also, today is my birthday so I need our Newty to come home!
