Newport in Bloom Citizen's Pell Bridge Run

Newport In Bloom is a 501(c)(3) charity was founded in 1982 to enhance the City of Newport, Rhode Island through the plantings of gardens and flowers.

Newport in Bloom seeks to engage residents, businesses and civic groups in bringing natural beauty to all areas of the community. We supply and maintain 100 baskets of flowers that hang throughout the City and sponsor a plant sale to help people make choices as to appropriate plant material for their gardens or containers. We also host a city-wide Garden Competition that celebrates outstanding gardens and landscapes from every section of the City, making it a very inclusive event that culminates in an Awards ceremony in late summer. We also support the Newport Daffodil Days Festival, an event that celebrates the planting of a million daffodils throughout the City. The festival features many fun and educational events for all ages and culminates with the passing out of free daffodil bulbs to the public to plant in their yards, place of business, schools, churches or anyplace where they will be visible.
