Newport and London Marathon April 2025

Hi everyone!

Myself and my good friend Jamie have decided to take on the Newport and London marathon in April to raise money for two charities that are very close to our hearts.

The first charity we will be raising money for will be Tenby RNLI. As some of you are aware back in July my daughter Lilly was taken over a mile out to sea while on her paddle board. She was taken so far out that we could not see if she was still on it. For 40 long minutes we did not know if our daughter was alive and we truly believe if it wasn’t for the amazing volunteers, Lilly would not be here with us today. This is the reason why we have chosen this as one of our charities so that they can continue helping other families.

The second charity is for CCAMA (Carmarthen & Crosshands Autistic Mams Association). A common problem for families living with autism is feeling alone. CCAMA was set up by parents of autistic children to help reduce social isolation and allow children and families living with autism be able to feel safe and included in a supportive group. They organise fun events for neurodiverse children and their siblings and provide a safe space for parents and carers to meet and support each other.

The money we raise will be split equally between the two very important charities.
