Newly Widowed Mom Needs Liver Transplant to Live

My sister Naomi and I are writing this on behalf of our mother, Debbie Hall, 50, who recently lost her husband August 31, 2021. Our mother has 3 girls, one of which, Ruby, is only 7 years old. Debbie needs a simultaneous liver and kidney transplant in order to survive. Unfortunately, her Lupus diagnosis has completely destroyed her liver which, in turn, began recently ravaging her kidneys. As such, she is in desperate need of a simultaneous transplant ASAP. She will be listed for organs September 6th and the surgery should follow within days. As such, we are in desperate need of help.

Our mother has been admitted to the hospital for over a month now awaiting organs, leaving Ruby in our care. Our father passed rather unexpectedly last week and my sister and I have found ourselves at a loss with how to proceed. The circumstances forced me to go on an unpaid leave from my fulltime job as an RN to help our family. Without my father around to work and with me on an unpaid leave, not only are we struggling to balance childcare for Ruby, but we are also in a financial crisis.

Our home is 55 miles from the transplant center and we will have to drive there 2x a week for clinic follow-up appointments the first 3 months post-transplant. If you were able to donate any money towards this cause, your contribution would go towards lodging in Orlando for Debbie's clinic appointments, food/gas/utilities/bills for our family, tolls, and medical copays for Debbie's care.

In honor of our father Matthew Hall (her late husband), who desperately wanted to be a part of her care and see her through to her second chance at life, we genuinely appreciate any donation no matter how small during this time of immense adversity for our family.
