My name is Debbie im 37, i live in Drumchapel with my husband and son. I have recently been diagnosed with a osteosarcoma in my back, this is a very rare type of bone cancer affecting 1% of adults

Unfortunately due to the location of the tumour I have been referred to spinal specialist in Newcastle.

I am due to begin treatment in Newcastle within the next few weeks. Which will include two major surgeries i will stay in the Royal Victoria Infirmary for 6 weeks for the treatment. Due to the tumour spreading quicker than they expected it has now encrotched on my lung and spine, unfortunately the surgeons are unsure if they are able to remove all of the tumour until the operation.

Unfortunately the nhs will not fund travel or accomodation for my family to travel between glasgow to necastle for the duration of my stay. We are hoping to raise funds to help pay for a Air B&B so my friends & family come visit during my stay.
