Newbridge RFC was formed after the amalgamation of neighboring clubs, Curragh RFC and Old Kilcullen RFC, in June 1996. We are a community-based club with a thriving Minis, Youths and Girls section. We also have three adult men’s teams.
Unfortunately, the COVID-19 restrictions brought our 2019/2020 season to a sudden and premature end, and this has impacted several events which would have been vital sources of funding for the club as we headed into the off-season from May to July.
Even though it is the off-season, we still incur significant expenses for maintenance of the pitches and the clubhouse facilities. We also continue to pay utilities, insurance and make loan re-payments.
For the Club to get through this extremely challenging financial period, we urgently need your help to raise €10,000 to cover our costs.
We are appealing to members and friends to donate to the Club.
Please donate what you can, and please pass this message on to anyone who is or has been involved with Newbridge RFC past and present - whether as a player or a parent, whether you live in Kildare, in Ireland or abroad.
Any help you can give will be deeply appreciated and will help the club to be in a stronger position for the resumption of rugby activities when it is safe to do so.
