The New York Alpha of Phi Kappa Psi Association, Inc. seeks donations to advance its mission as part of the Cornell community. Understanding the scope of Day Hall's decision to permanently terminate recognition of the undergraduate chapter following an illegal rush party, the Association adopted a three-part strategy: (1) maintain its position as a Sponsoring Group for its Group House on West Campus, with inarguable rights to choose a Priority Group; (2) initiate the dialogue to end the ban on the undergraduate Chapter over the long run while maintaining its commitment to the chosen Priority Group; (3) seek damages against the University for breaching the donor agreement and willfully not honoring the intended use of funds raised expressly for benefit of the Group House.
