New wheels for jacob.
Jacob was born at 24 weeks weighing less than a bag of sugar. He had 2 very severe bleeds to his brain and meningitis which caused swelling to his brain to. He had chronic lung disease, problems with siezures plus lots of other neonatal health problems. Doctors and specialists begged us 4 times to switch jacobs life support off because he was so poorly and his brain was so badly damaged. Jacob was fighting we had to fight for him to. After 101 days jacob came home from NICU, only for a few weeks and was rushed back in with breathing difficulties. This is how jacob has spent all of his life, in and out of hospital for weeks or months at a time. Jacob has very complex medical conditions and is under going genetics test to help find out whats wrong. He is a fighter and so brave, he is our insperation. Jacob has alot of medical problems and uses a wheelchair because he struggles with his balance or he gets tired and sore from his conditions. The NHS wheelchair he has is very ridgid and uncomfortable for jacob. He has been measured for a new private wheelchair that will recline for when he has spams or for when he is bad with his crohns disease and needs to lay down so he can rest and ease his pain. The chair will be so benificial for jacob.
