I am trying to raise funding for a family member in need. Anthony Hnath is a 37-year-old man who is quadriplegic. His family is in dire need of a wheelchair-accessible van, as Anthony has cerebral palsy and scoliosis. He has never walked since birth. His parents are now in their 60s and cannot lift Anthony anymore, his father is disabled, and his mother has arthritis in her fingers and hands. Getting to a doctor or dental appointment is becoming a real challenge and nearly impossible without help, which isn't usually available. Anthony cannot participate in everyday things such as going to Walmart, a park, or the beach to visit friends and family members; these are simple things we often take for granted, but for someone like Anthony, these are precious and rare gifts. A wheelchair-accessible van would greatly improve Anthony's quailty of life. By being able to leave the house and engage with the community and other people. His parents live on a fixed income, making it extremely difficult to purchase a van. We are hoping for a Christmas miracle for this young man, no matter how long it may take to achieve this goal.
