Hi my name is Brian and I am fundraising for Moholoholo Wildlife and Rehabilitation Centre in Hoedspruit, South Africa for a new vulture flight enclosure which is critical for vultures to exercise their wings prior to release. My wife, Adele and I volunteered at Moholoholo in September 2025 and found the experience humbling and the dedication to the wildlife amazing.

Vultures are natural identifiers of deceased animals, so poachers lace their carcasses with poison to remove this signal that would alert anti poachers. Moholoholo have been treating poisoned vultures since the centre opened in 1990s and in recent years have treated over 200 individuals with a success rate of 96% of treating avian poisoning cases. Recently a snared elephant carcass had been deliberately laced with poison killing 123 critically endangered vultures, but Moholoholo treated 84 who were clinging to life.

The cost of the structure is coming in at $40,000

Any excess funds will go to other enclosures and the rehabilitation of wildlife. Moholoholo Wildlife and Rehabilitation Centre survives on donations.
