My name is Nicholas Morella. Many of you may know me and my situation. For those who do not, I am severely handicapped and wheelchair bound. This has been since a serious illness when I was six years old. I have been dependent on wheelchair vans since then. I am 42 years old, so for 36 years, I have been buying used wheelchair conversion vans. I have been so fortunate to have my parents, Chip and Mary Lou to support me financially to acquire my vans and many other special needs. Federal or state programs do not pay for conversion vans. Some of you may know that my dad, Chip is slowing down with his work and thus is now on a fixed income. Also, my parents are now getting a little up in age and I think is time for me to consider the future and try to get the financial help that I may need from timt to time for large expence items, such as a van. I have heard of GoFundMe accounts and looked into it and thought I'd give it a try. Thus I am establishing a GoFundMe account to assist with the purchase of a van. I am very willing to go with a 2023 - 2024 year, low mileage van, although a new van would very nice. I have been shopping around and I am currently working with Superior Vans and Mobility.
