New Teacher Journey Fundraiser

Every year, Vegas3DKids LLC chooses a brand new educator to raise money for on their new teaching journey. This year, we have selected Ms. Jordan Ellico from Las Vegas, Nevada. Becoming a new teacher can be very expensive. Our goal is to help a new teacher get started building their new classroom.

Here is her story:
"I am a product of the Clark County School District and graduated from Western High School in 2009. I had so many teachers, from elementary to high school, that have changed my life. My journey in education began in 2015 when I worked for Capital One. We partnered with Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada to teach low income schools about finances and their communities. After being placed in a third grade classroom, I fell in love with everything teaching had to offer. I continued to volunteer and eventually decided that teaching was where my heart is at. In late 2015, I enrolled at Western Governors University in their Interdisciplinary Studies program. I soon left my job at Capital One to pursue my career in the Clark County School District at Elaine Wynn Elementary School. I have been there for 4 years as support staff working in Resource, the library, and the front office. For the 2020-2021 school year, I will be going into my first year as a teacher in third grade! I am so excited to begin my journey as a teacher and cannot wait to see what the future holds. Most importantly, though, I get the opportunity to change lives!"
