Animas Museum Needs Software Update

In the Animas Museum, we have 26,418 cataloged artifacts as of last September. All that information is at risk for loss due to an old out-dated database storage program that is no longer supported by Microsoft and being run on software that was homegrown by a group of volunteers years ago.  We wanted to purchase an up-to-date museum-specific program called Past Perfect, a staple for many other small museums, that will not only allow us to preserve all this information, but will also make it possible in the near future to allow visitors and researchers to have easier access to much of the information we have on-line as well. We were unable to obtain monies from a recent grant request to update our system, so are using this platform to raise money to help us pay for this much needed software system. The $3,000 will pay for the software, training discs,  networking 6-10 PCs, and live user support for a year.
