New shed and garden canopy needed for Nursery Garden

Hi, I’m Sarah, the manager at Happylands Nursery, Ripon. Unfortunately the strong winds from Storm Darragh have completely ruined our nursery shed and canopy.

The wind and rain over the past couple of years has meant that the roof on the shed is not waterproof anymore and the wood is decaying. The storm has now made it completely unsafe and unusable.

The garden canopy we use to shelter the children from hot sun in Summer has been blown off as well and the connections are broken to fix it.

We are a small setting that works as non for profit, therefore, we rely heavily on local authority funding. However, our funding will not stretch to allow us to buy a new shed and canopy.

We would be very grateful to anyone who can donate to our cause. Outdoor play and learning is vital to a young child’s development and without replacing this equipment, we can’t offer the best experience.

We are also unable to let the children use this area of nursery until we can sort it. Please, please, help us sort this for our wonderful children at Happylands Nursery ❤️
