Marie received a double lung transplant months ago and has been battling complications from the transplant ever since. After the surgery, UVA informed Marie and Steven that they had found Stage One lung cancer in the new lungs Marie had received. With all the medical bills constantly coming in, it is not in Steven and Marie's budget to have a new roof installed. Their current roof has been leaking, causing mold to develop in locations even after several attempts to patch spots.

With help, Marie and Steven may have a chance to replace their roof, relieving them of any more damage and upcoming repairs due to their current roof damage.
