Reinaldo and Noemi Suarez will be celebrating their 57th wedding anniversary in a few months. They are the parents of a very dear friend of mine. Reinaldo has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and his wife and adult children are his primary caregivers. Noemi does not drive any longer and is also in need of assistance. So it is up to their children to drive them to their doctors appointments, do the shopping and take care of their finances.

He has his moments of clarity but most days are a challenge.
Lately he has been asking his wife to marry him.  You see, he doesn't realize that they have been married for the past 56 years.
So, their daughters decided to throw them a wedding! It's just a very small gathering for family, just so dad can finally marry the love of his life.

However, in the midst of this joyful occasion, they received a notice from their home owner's insurance company. It states that if they don't replace their roof then their coverage will be dropped by the company. 

As you can imagine, it is difficult for them to pay for this expense while on social security and also pay for their medical bills. Their children are not in a position to finance this on their own. 

So I am pleading on their behalf for help.
