We're the New Orleans Cooperative Music School, a teacher-owned private lesson studio located at 3401 St. Claude Avenue.

We started this cooperative because we've found that high quality job opportunities in our industry are few and far between. This sadly leaves the door open for predatory companies to take advantage of musicians around the city.

By supporting music teachers with higher pay, access to benefits, and shared ownership of our company, we not only dignify our own profession, but we also provide a better education to our students.

This fundraiser is to raise money to get our small business off the ground. All funds will go directly towards:

-Three months of rent

-Purchase of instruments

-Soundproofing

-Advertising and marketing (a little goes a long way!)

-Scholarship fund for low-income students
