Many of you who know me may describe me as compassionate towards protecting animals, but to those who don't, let me share a little about me and my mission.

In the early 90s, I stood for the first time outside an animal testing laboratory and protested against the use of monkeys in animal experiments. That's where my commitment to animals began. Since then I have been involved in the organisation Djurens rätt (as active, chairman of a local branch, employee and as a member of the national Board) and in 2005 I founded another national animal rights organisation in Sweden, which I was the president for 17 years. I have previously also founded and run an animal shelter.

My heart has always beat a little extra for the vulnerable laboratory animals. It has resulted in me working undercover in Swedish animal testing laboratories in order to get information and pictures about how the animals are treated in there. In the early 2000s, I started a campaign that resulted in Sweden's only breeder of cats for animal experiments being closed, once and for all. My involvement has also led to me starting campaigns for the Astra beagles, the dogs at the University of Gothenburg (which resulted in the termination of experiments on dogs) and most recently I managed to reveal the plans for a new laboratory, SWECCLIM, in Sweden and thanks to an intensive campaign, we managed to stop the plans for SWECCLIM.

In 2009, I also learned that three lab monkeys at the Infectious Diseases Institute in Stockholm were to be euthanized after the experiments were completed and started a campaign to save them. After a successful campaign, the three monkeys were moved to a sanctuary in Great Britain, where two of them are still alive today.

I hope that is proof enough of my commitment. Being a voice for the animals and being able to provide aid to those that really need it is my main focus.

In order to realize this mission and have a significant impact on society, I need to start a new organization that will primarily focus on laboratory animals. Animals are exploited and tortured behind barbed wire and locked doors and the public has very little knowledge of it. That must change.
Initially, financial support is needed to cover costs such as starting an association account, making a website, renting a post box and many other start-up fees and costs. Your donation will not only help me start a nonprofit; it will create a revolution of change, awareness and education in a subject that is important and make a huge difference to laboratory animals and ultimately positively impact society and make the world a better place.

If you have the opportunity to contribute, I would be extremely grateful. All contributions matter. Thanks in advance!
