About Me

My name is Michael Perezpuelles and I am a Luthier working as a guitar tech in Northern Virginia. I have around seventeen years of experience and specialize in vintage and carpentry repairs. I am thoroughly knowledgeable in this field having worked in big music stores, and having operating my own instrument repair companies in the past. I am Fender, Tayler and Gibson certified.

My Story

My son was born a year ago and I started repairing guitars from home for extra income. It was part-time, but I did well enough that I was eventually able to quit my day job. It was a dream being able to work and still be home with my son. Shortly after my initial success, the HOA informed me that I needed to shut down my business or relocate it within one week. With the HOA threatening my mortgage, I needed to act fast to keep food on the table.

I found a place to set up shop in Vienna, VA and saw immediate success. However, the agreement with my landlord was in good faith and a handshake. The rest of the unoccupied building was soon rented to hair stylists and partially converted to an art gallery. It became apparent that a music shop would not be compatible with the future property plans. Sadly, I was forced to close shop again only a month after opening.

Please Help

My dreams and talents lie with music and instrument repair. I live in a densely populated area with little access to my kind of service. I am encouraged by clients, friends, family and the community to continue to pursue this dream. I have found a great location and need funding to move in. Will you please help me reopen my business and continue my dream.
