Christine is one of the kindest, most generous people I know. She is an amazing person inside and out. She also has some medical issues that make her life interesting. Between Cerebral Palsy + Long Haul Covid + middle age, her already limited mobility is getting worse. Her needs have changed from a basic van with only adapted hand controls to an upgraded vehicle that allows wheelchair transfer. These vehicles are very, very expensive and getting any social services assistance takes at least a year. As her besties we would like to see her retain some independence and confidence so she can replace her current, older model van with something more updated and will allow her the freedom to take her kids to the zoo, or the mall, or get her to and from work without the anxiety of “will my van get me there today and can I get out unassisted?”
