New Mascot for Teton

Donation protected
We are raising money to help with costs associated with the effort to change the Teton High School's mascot for district 401 in Teton County, Idaho.  We are beginning our efforts by organizing a forum where native voices from our nearest neighboring tribes can come and speak to this issue.  Currently, we have three prospective panel-members and hope to recruit two or three more.  The first portion of funds raised on this site will go toward paying traveling expenses and lodging for these honored speakers so that they may give their opinion and tell their stories as the most authentic voices affected by this upcoming decision.

The second portion, and any funds exceeding our $2000 goal, will be donated to the High School to mitigate any associated expenses with the the mascot change.  For example, buying new uniforms for teams that may not have already given up the "Reds*ins" name is an associated cost.

We are hoping to have these funds ready before June 26th, which is the proposed day of the forum.

Thank you so much for considering a contribution to this fund.  Your financial help will enable the change needed to align what we model to our children with our school district's moral imperatives of Responsible, Respectful and Ready.
