New lungs for Tiffany
Donation protected
Tiffany is 24 yrs old with Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic fibrosis is an inherited illness characterized by the buildup of thick, sticky mucus that can damage many of the body's organs. The disorder's most common signs and symptoms include progressive damage to the respiratory system and chronic digestive system problems. The features of the disorder and their severity varies among affected individuals. Tiffany was diagnosed when she was 5 weeks old. Since then she has also been diagnosed with osteoporosis, scoliosis, CF related diabetes and asthma. No matter what life throws at her she continues to have faith and fight. She is an inspiration to many! She is currently receiving treatment in Lubbock, where she has been hospitalized since November, and is awaiting transfer to Dallas where they will keep her there 8 weeks or possibly till she gets new lungs. After transplant we will have to live near Dallas for at least 3 to 6 months for the healing process which involves rehab, frequent clinic visits, etc. Her insurance has dropped her due to the length of time she has already been hospitalized. Insurance wants her out of hospital for 60 days but due to the volume of oxygen she is on, that is not possible. Tiffany would love very much to get back home to her husband and 3 yr old son. Remember "that breath you just took is a gift". If you are not able to donate, we would still love to receive continuous prayers. Please share this with your friends and ask your friends to share with their friends. Thank you and God Bless each and everyone of you!
