Hello!
We are a Christian organization that aspires to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through bible-based teachings. NLCC emphasizes the significance of faith, family, and community in the lives of believers through prayer, fellowship, and special events.
New Life Christian Cathedral made the city of Harvey its home in 1991. In the 29 years that NLCC has been in Harvey, we perceived the devastating issues that have affected the community and have aspired to aid the residents of the city. Through the hosting of free monthly breakfast meetings as well as the creation of food baskets for families during the holiday seasons, we believe that we were able to assist the city of Harvey in addressing its food situation. However, many issues, such as lack of job training programs, affordable child care facilities, and senior citizen programs, remain unaddressed and unresolved.
It is our desire as followers of Christ and members of the Harvey community to continue to address these issues in any way that we can. However, for five years, we have been unable to return to Harvey and continue our work due to the current structural condition of our church building. The building has been deemed uninhabitable due to the falling roof and the excess of mold. To rebuild our beloved church and return to Harvey, we need your help.
Upon our return to Harvey, along with continuing with our previous practices, we will implement programs that we believe will be efficient and effective in uplifting and rebuilding the fabric of the community. These programs include childcare (both daycare and after school care), basic computer and technology training, job, and social skill-building classes, monthly soup kitchens, and financial planning classes.
We believe that it is time to return to our original church home and finish what we started, but we cannot do it alone. We need your help! Any donations are appreciated, and if you can't donate, then please spread the word about our cause by sharing. No matter what trials and tribulation come, we will never surrender, we will fight with everything on the inside because we are:
