Help Our Resilient Mom Reclaim Her Life After Unthinkable Loss & Betrayal

Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,
We are reaching out with an urgent plea for our incredible Mom, who is 68 years old and currently enduring a hardship no one should ever face. For the past year and a half, since January 1st, 2024, Mom has been living out of her breaking-down, falling-apart van. This isn't a choice; it's a devastating reality forced upon her after a series of unthinkable tragedies.
Just a few years back, Mom lost the love of her life, our beloved Dad, Mark Stough, to a brutal 5-month battle with cancer. As she started to grieve this unimaginable loss, she was then dealt another cruel blow: her own stepdaughter fraudulently stole her home and sold it out from under her, leaving Mom not only heartbroken but utterly homeless.
She lost everything – her husband, her sanctuary, her stability. Now, her only shelter is her old, unreliable car, which is constantly breaking down, putting her safety and health at severe risk. This "rust-bucket" is not just transportation; it's her current, fragile home, and it's failing her daily.
Imagine the courage it takes to face such profound grief and betrayal, only to then sleep in a vehicle that could stop working at any moment. Our mom is a fighter, a survivor, but she needs our help to reclaim a basic sense of dignity and security.
We are desperately trying to raise funds to get her out of her van and into a safe, reliable vehicle. This isn't just about a car; it's about providing her with:
* Safety: A place where she won't be vulnerable to the elements or danger.
* Mobility: The ability to access resources, look for stable housing, and begin rebuilding her life.
* Hope: A tangible sign that she is not alone, and that compassion can overcome even the darkest circumstances.
Every single dollar will go directly towards purchasing a dependable vehicle that will allow her to finally leave the streets behind and start piecing her life back together.
Please, if you are able, consider donating to help our resilient Mom. If you can't contribute financially, sharing her story far and wide is equally powerful. Let's show her that there is still goodness in the world, and that after enduring so much, she deserves a chance to live in safety and peace.
Thank you for your kindness, your compassion, and for helping us bring some light back into her life.
With deepest gratitude,
Inga Stough, Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren
