Hi, my name is Kim and I started a hedgehog rescue at the beginning of last year. We have gone from strength to strength and have already had 89 hedgehogs through our doors with a very high success rate. This year we are already up to 79 hedgehogs and most are oprhaned or in a very poor state. We have a purpose built hedgehog shed and would like to start to take in more hedgehogs once we have our new pods this will be possible. They take up less room and are much easier to clean for our fabulous volunteers who already spend up to 3 hours cleaning them every day already. We would started with a 3 bank of pods and have now received sponsorship for most of them as well as raising money for an extra one. We would like to now increase the amount of pods that we have from 8 up to 12 so we have updated our fundraiser to help more hedgehogs in desperate need. Each pod costs £250. Any surplus will go towards the running of the hogspital and maybe if we receive enough another incubator unit, as when they are full its difficult to care for any more coming in that need them.
