New Heart for Verlesia

Verlesia was born with Hypo-plastic Left Heart Syndrome (HPLHS), which means she has a very small heart that struggles to pump enough blood to her body. She is 10 years old, but her condition has stunted her growth so dramatically that she resembles a 5 year old.

Verlesia takes a total of 15 medications per day, supplements calcium, potassium, vitamin D, and gets biweekly albumin infusions. She has already undergone multiple surgeries and a heart catheterization, but these have not fixed her heart or improved her quality of life. She needs a new heart to make her strong!
