New Handicap Accessible Van for Mike
Donation protected
Last week on June 15th, a family member was driving a wheelchair accessible van for Mike, and hit a piece of construction equipment. Thankfully, the family member is alright and well, but the vehicle that Mike relied on for 11 years to get him to family outings, events, and spend time with friends was deemed a total loss.
Our family is unable to pay for a new (to us) van or take out a loan. We are asking for your assistance for this.
In December of 1998, Mike was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, and he has progressed to the point where he is a quadriplegic and his bones are very brittle due to osteoporosis. Transferring him to a chair to another vehicle where he can sit in that is not wheelchair accessible is very risky to his health and wellbeing.
Any amount is appreciated. If you are unable to donate, please share.
