Hakuna Matata Animal Trust Fundraiser

With all the relentless poor weather conditions we’ve been having the foster piggies are in desperate need of a new shelter. Their current one is looking ready to collapse and with the amount of rain we’ve been getting we need to fix up two areas where we can rotate them and keep them clean and dry. *UPDATE* We have now raised enough to purchase the shelter which should hopefully arrive this weekend (13.05.23) but we still need to make improvements to their actual paddock, so with that in mind we have changed the goal from £500 to £1000. It is our hope to make their paddock bigger which will allow us to leave certain areas to rest during wetter months, meaning we won’t end up with the same problems we’ve had this past winter. We would also like to add a piggy pool where they’ll be able to keep cool during the summer. This area has now been named ‘The Phil Ballard Foster Pad’ in memory of a very special man who passed suddenly on the 29.04.23. Phil was an animal lover who leaves behind a loving wife, two daughters and their rescue dog Nina.  We hope to make this a beautiful place where his family can come visit and know that many animals will be saved and looked after in Phil’s memory for years to come!

We are extending our fundraiser to keep funds coming in for our small animal sanctuary. To help with covering costs of vet bills, food, shelter, repairs and all the costs to cover the animals needs here at Hakuna Matata!
Our ongoing work on the new foster pad is almost complete now and there will be pictures to follow we have also managed to put piggy pool areas in each paddock to keep them cool in all this hot weather which is amazing!!
