Kathleen Atherton's is a wonderful dance school based in Leigh, offering classes in ballet, tap, modern, musical theatre, contemporary, and fitness. Kathleen herself has been teaching for 60 years and the school now has a number of other teachers. A while back we moved into our own venue, which for the most part has been wonderful, however the current flooring isn't the most suitable and to replace it with specialist flooring will be costly, hence asking for help funding.

Sprung dance flooring can vary in price, however comes out between £70-£100 per square metre. We have 2 rooms in our building - one is 7m x 11m, the other 6m x 5m, meaning we need a total of 107 square metres of flooring. Taking the lower price, this would be a total of £7490, hence setting our request at £7500.
