New Father Recovering from Horrific NYE Explosion
Donation protected
I am reaching out with a heavy heart on behalf of my brother, Gary Hendrix, who recently experienced a life-altering event on New Year's Eve.
While celebrating with family, including his new baby girl, Gary experience a horrific accident caused by a firework explosion that severely damaged his hand, resulting in a partial dismemberment. This incident will derail his life for the foreseeable future, including impacting his ability to perform his job as bus driver for Miami Dade County. For my brother, the road towards healing will be a long and painstaking journey.
Since we were kids, Gary was special working with his hands, capable of building anything from scratch, especially if it had a motor strapped to it. He and our other brother would build go-carts from the ground up, go-carts fast enough to ride throughout the streets of Miami. As he got older, his passion for cars and engines grew with him, as he would spend any spare moment building his cars and the engines from scratch. As I said before, he is the best at working with his hands.
Gary's skill expand beyond building cars, he's a great chef. My brother skillful on the grill, the flatiron, and in the kitchen. He loves firing up the grill or cook up an amazing meal to feed our huge family and friends during large functions.
As my brother embarks on this difficult journey, we are seeking your support to help alleviate the burden of medical expenses, rehabilitation, and the inevitable adjustments required for him to adapt to his new circumstances. Gary is not only facing physical recovery but is also striving to be the best father to his baby girl, making your support crucial during this trying time. Please consider joining us in supporting my brother during this challenging period.
