Hi, my name is Lucas Whitmore. I am the culinary arts teacher at Carson Valley Middle School in Gardnerville, Nevada. I took over this program this past school year 2022/2023. The classroom itself is a piece of history. I have teachers and parents that took this class in the 60's and 70's that told me it looks the same as it did when they took the class. The only difference is it is crumbling and falling apart; oh, and the smell. I have tasked myself to rebuild and recreate the program. I have made great strides with the help of friends, family, and an amazing community. I am starting this GoFundMe to raise money for new prep tables for my classroom. The room currently has 3 foot tall old science tables from the 1970's as prep tables. I have students ranging from 4 to 6 feet tall. I am looking to purchase adjustable prep table to meet the diversity within our student body. Please help me on meeting my goal and giving our students a better learning evironment.
