New E-bike for one legged artist

Hello my friend, my name is Jaap Kagiso, and I’m asking for your support in collecting funds for a new electric cargo bike.

As most of you know, in the Summer of 2020 I lost my right leg thanks to a sudden accident, when I fell asleep high up in a tree, subsequently crashing into my new life as a monoped.

Half a year later, I turned 25 and was gifted a most wonderful bakfiets from friends and family all around. It was the ideal vehicle for my new cyborg state of being, as its electrical support and three wheels got me all around the place at lightning speed.

To my immeasurable dismay however, one year later, my magical mobility boosting bicycle was stolen from the street in front of my home. The insurance, true to trope, refuses to reimburse the bike, leaving me reliant on dingy little city bikes. That get me around, but don’t fill the void my Babboef left.

I miss it, so so much. It was not only my ride, it was part of my identity. I dreamed about that bike like it was an extension of myself. I rode all my friends around town, I was able to move around big stuff for my art biz. Now without this spaceship of a bike, I feel grounded, slow, and …well, handicapped.

But here’s where you dear people come in. I ask you humbly and gratefully to help me in purchasing a new bike, to support my being and my business.

The money is going towards a new bike, an impenetrable lock, insurance against theft, and whatever is left will support me in decorating it.
