The aim of my proposal is to create an interdisciplinary work that explores the concepts of metamorphosis in science and thematic transformation in musical composition as a metaphor to examine the impacts of global warming. I also plan to design scalable arts-integrated residencies, linked to the work, to engage participants in a personal exploration of how we can adapt to climate change. The arts can provide powerful metaphors to support critical thinking on human interaction with the planet, to imagine new possibilities, and achieve solutions for a sustainable future.
