New Teeth for KPoe...THE JOURNEY CONTINUES
Well, I have failed at teeth.
It was a valiant fight...beginning at age two with my first tooth extraction, continuing at aged eight with twelve more...then came years of braces and deep cleans and patchwork fixes as we could afford them (which was not often). But things have deteriorated now to a point where it is endangering my health and so next week I am to undergo some major oral surgery to finally - hopefully - get my mouth healthy and without pain, once and for all.
This isn't about vanity, I am not getting any fancy cosmetic work - just the basic procedures needed to take everything out, make sure the diseased tissue is cleared, and create some new chompers that work, the cheapest way possible. But even "not-fancy" work performed by student dentists is costly; so I"m turning to America's most effective medical cost support system: a GoFundMe campaign.
I'm sure most of us are broke being that we are still dealing with a worldwide pandemic and all, but if you happen to have a few extra bucks you wouldn't mind donating I would gratefully - and humbly - appreciate it.
Not sure if anyone really loves going to the dentist, and I tend toward pridefulness so it's all a little embarrassing for me - but I am also a little excited to be able to chew with my whole mouth, and also maybe for the first time in a long time, smile without feeling self-conscious.
thanks so much,
stay safe and be well.
